me:  I’ve just finished a new painting.

hubby: Wow!  It’s colorful.     -  long pause  -    Are those chili peppers?

me:  No, jelly beans.

hubby: Oh   -  long pause  -  maybe there’s an issue with the scale.   -  long pause  -  nice.    -  long pause  -  nice.
